I feel like the second one is the stronger of the two as far as layout and movement, less directing, more natural. I also like the break up of the composition better. There's some value issues which I need to work out but overall I am feeling really confident in my direction!
I’m liking your second composition the best! It reminds me a lot of the prints that you use to do in printmaking a few semesters ago! :)
ReplyDeleteI think that your second one is the stronger concept because your beginning and end point are so obvious. I think that is the most difficult problem I am facing. I think that it is working well for you to have that effect! My one concern for both of your compositions is that the coloring is a little bit distracting. I think that your color scheme has a lot of similar colors so maybe turn down the opacity of your background colors so that your main icons stand out better! I like your results so far!
I really love the structure of your second poster design but you have a better layout of steps within the first design. If you can somehow use the steps from the first poster and use them within the second poster's layout and structure, I think it could greatly heighten the overall design and aesthetic. I love what you have and how you have elevated your designs just since last week. Something that I am worried about is the colors used. While I love them a lot and they work well in the design I'm wondering if they are too bright or neon once printed. It's important to keep in mind how colors printed may appear slightly different than what you see on the computer. I suggest printing out a page with small swatches of the colors you use on your own printer at home to get a better idea of the colors and how they will look once printed. I also have a small concern regarding the background and pop up design you have within both posters' background. It looks like you have a very structured and symmetrical design but then the pop up design is more assymetrical. I think either making both designs symmetrical or both asymmetrical will help the entire look become more complete and cohesive. I hope that makes sense. If you have any other questions about my feedback let me know! alt0900@byui.edu. Great work on this so far :)
ReplyDeleteLove this! It’s looking so good! Great work and your refinements! I really like the structure of your poster. It’s really fun. Thanks for keeping the thumbs up!
ReplyDeleteI like how your first poster starts better. It makes more sense to me.
Suggestions:
1. Make sure all your arrows are the same size.
2. Watch out for tangents (where the “explosion?” meets the pan on the top)
On second thought your second one is simpler and may be better to go with.
Just watch for tangents!
